Cast iron pipes are supplied in standard lengths of 3 meters, which can be cut on site to the required length. To guarantee installation, the cut should be always made at a right angle to the pipe axis and be free of burrs, cracks etc.
Cutting
Measure the require length of the pipe.
Cut the pipe by using qualified and recommended tools.
Ensure the pipe is cut in square end.
Remove all burnt and ashes from the cut end.
Re-paint the cut edge by using protective paint.
Install the pipe after the protective paint is completely dry.
Assembling
Step 1
Loosen the screw on the coupling, take the rubber out of it, and push the metal collar onto the pipe.
Step 2
Push the rubber sleeve onto the lower pipe end, and fold over the upper half of the sleeve.
Step 3
Place the pipe or fitting to be connected onto the inner ring and fold back the upper half of the sleeve.
Step 4
Wrap the metal collar around the rubber sleeve.
Step 5
Tighten the bolt properly with torque wrench to required torque.
